This is my first attempt at a paperweight. I took a short class at the Indianapolis Art Center and got to play with much larger amounts of molten glass......lots of fun! Technically, it came out just fine. The colors, however, did not turn out as I had hoped.

I lined this bead with a sterling silver core. I love this effect, but it is very tedious process and I've broken many beads while forming and shaping the sterling.
This is the second paperweight that I made. Again, technically correct, but not so pretty. When you are using unfamiliar frit (crushed glass), you can't be sure what color will appear after it comes out of the kiln. Sometimes it's a pleasant surprise, sometimes it isn't!
